Purpose of the role
As the Enterprise Business Development manager you will be part of the CSP & E (Communication Service Provider and Enterprise) Business Unit and will be responsible for developing opportunities in selected accounts and verticals market (territory) already known to Axians and for developing strategic new business for Axians primarily within the Enterprise Market (currently Large and Medium size Private Companies) advised by the Sales Management team. You will be responsible for driving sales and gross margin through establishing new and developing existing relationships within the accounts.
Key Prerequisites:
- 5 years + experience in Sales
- Proven success in generating new business in at least one of the following Enterprise markets:
- Financial Services, Retail, Media/Betting/Gaming, Manufacturing
- Successful experience selling Network and Security solutions in the enterprise space
- Proven experience in outcome based solution sales and managed services in at least one of the following areas:
- SD-WAN, SASE, Wi-FI/wireless, Enterprise Routing & Switching, Enterprise Security
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve your personal sales and margin target in your territory
- Territory Strategy: create and agree with the CSP&E management team the Enterprise strategy and lead its execution.
- Generate pipeline: identify new sales opportunities and solutions and services to fulfil customer requirements
- Drive Sales: drive and lead the sales activities within your territory from opportunity identification to contract closure. These activities will include the ability to lead virtual teams across the whole Axians business, the wider Axians Group and with our Vendor partners.
- Develop and Nurture Customer Relationships: Build and develop relationships with existing and potential customers in your territory. Establish and develop C-Level and senior management level ‘’trusted advisor’’ relationships to understand their business challenges and enable you to position solutions from Axians full portfolio.
- Own the Sales forecast, account planning and reporting for your territory.
- Demand Generation is a key part of this role and typically include:
- Researching organisations and individuals (both online and leveraging your own and Axians network of people) to identify new leads and potential new markets
- Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives to develop new opportunities both internally and with our Vendor companies
- Contacting existing and potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings.
- Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events to generate new opportunities.
